General Information & FAQs

Welcome to the child-safe, family-friendly 2024 Samford Show – a feature of our community for more than 50 years. The Show Society is looking forward to a bigger better and brighter Show than ever.

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions:

When and where is the Show?

The Show will be held on the weekend of 13-14 July 2024 at the Samford Showgrounds, 40 Showgrounds Drive Highvale 4520.

What is the impact on the Show from COVID?

The Samford Show Society has a comprehensive and practical COVID Plan for the safety of everyone involved. It will be as unobtrusive as possible. We cannot foresee the situation in July but will work with our exhibitors, sponsors and patrons to ensure a safe and enjoyable Show.

What if I get sick or have an accident at the Show?

Well-signed professional first aid facilities and personnel will be on site for the duration of the Show. If you are feeling unwell before the Show, please stay at home and seek medical attention.

Is water available at the Show?
We are connected to the Unitywater regional reticulated water system that provides high quality potable supply.  We ask patrons to bring their own reusable water container. The Samford Show has been single-use plastic free for the last 3 years. This means no bottled water is available during the weekend.

General public entry off Showgrounds Drive is on your left through a well signed set of gates (adjacent to the Men’s Shed), about 80 metres past Woodanga Drive.  Proceed straight to the parking area, guided by our volunteers.  Parking for disabled persons is available nearest the Show entry points.

Exit is through a second set of gates further along Showgrounds Drive. (Trucks and exhibitors/stallholders should use the EXIT gate to gain entry).

Once parked, entry into the Show is by a short walk through clearly marked pedestrian lanes near where the rides are located. Please have your entry tickets/online receipts available for checking at these entry points.   A free “train” on a circuit will be available for those who need help with access (and fun for kids!)

We have an online ticketing system for your convenience. We STRONGLY recommend you access this system from around the middle of June in the days before you come to the Show. Quick validation at the entry gate will be possible with an email ticket that will be sent to you to download to print or for display on your phone at the entry point.

As far as possible, please avoid paying by cash when you come to the entry point. You may need cash for other attractions at the Show and there will be ATMs available on site. There will be EFTPOS facilities available at the entry gate.
