Welcome to the child-safe, family-friendly 2021 Samford Show. Except for the unavoidable disruption in 2020, our annual Show has been a feature of our community for more than 50 years. The Show Society is looking forward to a bigger better and brighter Show than ever this year.

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions:

When and where is the Show?

The Show will be held on the weekend of 10 and 11 July 2021 at the Samford Showgrounds, 40 Showgrounds Drive Highvale 4520.

What is the impact on the Show from COVID?

The Samford Show Society has a comprehensive and practical COVID Plan for the safety of everyone involved.  It will be as unobtrusive as possible.  We cannot foresee the situation in July but expect with the vaccination rollout that restrictions will gradually ease.  For example, we do not expect masks will be a condition of entry, although you are welcome to wear one if you wish.  Please observe physical distancing for your own safety: there will be reminders posted around the Grounds. There will also be plenty of hand sanitisation stations.

Entry to the Showground Pavilion will be managed to avoid overcrowding.  Please comply with directions and observe physical distancing around food and drink outlets.

What if I get sick or have an accident at the Show?

Well-signed professional first aid facilities and personnel will be on site for the duration of the Show.  If you are feeling unwell before the Show, please stay at home and seek medical attention.

Entry

Our aim is to save you time and help prevent congestion at the entry gate. There will be volunteers at the gates to assist you with any issues.

This year general patrons will enter through the first set of gates off Showgrounds Drive (near the Men’s Shed). This will be well signed. Exit will be through the second set of gates along the Drive. (Trucks and exhibitors/stallholders will use the EXIT gate to gain entry).

  • We have introduced an online ticketing system for your convenience. We recommend you access this system from around the middle of June in the days before you come to the Show. Quick validation at the gate will be possible with an email ticket that will be sent to you to download or show at the gate on your phone.
  • As far as possible, please avoid paying for entry by cash when you come to the entry gate as this will trigger extra COVID requirements. You may need cash for other attractions at the Show and there will be ATMs available on site.
  • There will be EFTPOS facilities available at the entry gate.

IN LINE WITH STATE GOVERNMENT REQUIREMENTS, WE WILL ALSO HAVE QR CODE APP SIGNS AT EACH ENTRY. THESE ARE THE SAME AS THE ONES YOU HAVE BEEN USING AT RESTAURANTS, PUBS ETC. YOU MUST COMPLETE THE APP USING YOUR PHONE ONCE FOR EACH DAY YOU ENTER THE GROUNDS. YOU CANNOT ENTER THE GROUNDS WITHOUT THIS.

Gate Admission Prices

Our ticketing system enables entry to the Showgrounds at any time on either or both Saturday and Sunday, subject to competing your COVID pass on each day.

Recycling

There will be recycling bins placed around the Showgrounds as well as general rubbish bins. We greatly appreciate your taking the time to recycle.

Parking

Ample parking is free with your entry ticket. Please comply with directions once you have passed through the entry gate.

How can I help?

The Samford Show Society is small but perfectly formed group of friendly locals who are committed to the welfare and prosperity of their community and to the traditions of the Australian agricultural show. The annual Show is one of the glues that hold together the communities fortunate enough to have them.

We meet every second Wednesday in the Committee rooms at the Showgrounds in the lead up to the Show and then monthly.
